During January the children have been learning about birds in winter and how we can help feed and look after them during the cold months. We made bird food for the children to take home and put in their garden for the birds and we put out our bird feeds in the Nursery school. The children have enjoyed watching the birds and finding out their names. They have noticed the different colours and sizes of the birds. The children made their own bird using a paper plate. We also had another little friend come to eat the seeds that dropped on the ground.... A grey squirrel!
