November News

26th Nov 2023
The children have been busy learning and exploring bedtime and space this month. We had a Bedtime Story Day when the children came dressed in their pyjamas and we had porridge for our snack. The children enjoyed listening to stories and singing our November songs and rhymes. The children talked about their bedtime routines at home and their favourite stories they like to listen to before going to bed.
We talked and read about animals that are nocturnal and what they do at our bedtime and when they sleep. We made hedgehogs from clay and dough and owls from brown resources.
The children collected junk materials from home and created space models using junk materials, planets from paper plates and paint and enjoyed role playing in the space station!
We have been making simple patterns at the maths table, recognising colours and exploring the size of resources in other areas of play.
